The EpiSCOPE study was composed of 31 slides processed in six processing runs (superbatches A–F). The BFiN study was composed of 22 slides processed in two processing runs (superbatches A–B). Slides highlighted in gold illustrate the variation observed across superbatches. The first slide of the day for the EpiSCOPE study (slides 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 25) and superbatch B for the BFiN study (slides 13–22)
