Histone H3K4me3 interactome. A KMT2F/G (SETD1A/B) are recruited via CXXC1 (CFP1) subunit to CpG islands. CBP/p300, which acetylates H3K27, binds to KMT2F/G. The H3K4me3-modified nucleosomes bind to multiple readers (CHD1, TAF3, ING, U2AF65, U2 snRNP, PAF, FACT, and KATs). KDM5 family members (erasers) are associated with HDAC1 and 2.
