Histone methylation plays a role in hypertension, aortic dissection, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Histone demethylase LSD1 was reported to regulate blood pressure. EZH2 inhibits autophagic death of VSMC to suppress aortic dissection by regulating ATG5 and ATG7 expression and MEK-ERK1/2 signaling pathway.
