The size of each circle indicates the number of genes from each pathway that are present in the ADNP episignatures. The thickness of the connecting lines corresponds to the level of interactions and relatedness between the pathways. Neuronal system is the most significant pathway in this analysis and with the greatest number of genes (X-axis of the box on top right). Extracellular matrix organization and transmission across chemical synapses are the next most significant pathways. An interactive map of the genes from ADNP episignatures involved in these pathways is shown in Additional file 1: Figure S15
