The Student’s t test was applied to evaluate differences in ID4 expression between two groups and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Bonferroni’s post hoc analysis to compare three or more groups. The bottom and top of the box represent the first and third quartiles of the data, respectively, and the band inside the box represents the median of the data. The lower and upper whiskers represent the lowest and highest data points of the data, respectively. As can be seen in panel a and b, ID4 expression is reduced in ER+ subgroups ***p < 0.001
