Prediction performance of a panel of seven CpGs. a Methylation levels of CpGs on seven genes were compared between 45 NSCLCs and 37 controls in a training set. All CpGs showed significant difference (p < 0.05) in β values between the two groups. b The prediction performance of the seven-CpG panel was evaluated in 41 test samples. The area under curve of the receiver operating characteristic curve in predicting NSCLC using the panel was 0.87 (95% confidence interval: 0.73–0.96; p < 0.001).
