Different splicing factors can be involved in the biogenesis of specific mirtronic miRNAs. a The amount of SRSF1 and SRSF2 proteins markedly increased in transfected HCT116 cell line. Western-blot analysis was carried out on nuclear extracts of cells transfected with empty vector pcDNA3 (-) or plasmid containing recombinant SRSF1 gene (pSRSF1) or SRSF2 gene (pSRSF2). Beta-actin was used as an internal loading control. b Splicing factor-dependent alterations of endogenous mirtronic miRNA expression levels were determined using RT-qPCR.
